Information
An ancient city on the outskirts of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. More than a century of archaeological research on the Glanum site has revealed the remains of an extraordinary architectural ensemble. The local elite exploited natural resources such as perennial springs and limestone to create a monumental setting that is unique in Provence.
Nestling in the heart of the Alpilles mountains, at the crossroads of major traffic routes, this Gallic town was influenced by the Greeks and then the Romans, and reached its apogee in the 2nd century BC.
From the viewpoints, enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of the site before taking in the charm of its sacred spring.
